Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow privacy trends, including new privacy laws and emerging domestic and international privacy risks.
  • •Maintain subject matter expertise in applicable privacy laws and guidance and apply them to privacy risk objectives.
  • •Advise and challenge business initiatives by mapping legal requirements to business processes and recommending controls, monitoring, and remediation.
  • •Partner with legal counsel and subject matter experts to consult on privacy compliance matters, including compliance testing and complaint remediation.
  • •Prepare and participate in reporting on privacy compliance activities and travel to Capital One locations as necessary.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 138,100 - 173,400 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or Military experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience in privacy, compliance, legal, risk management, or audit.
  • •Ability to navigate ambiguous situations to drive and execute an agenda in a fluid environment.
  • •Strong judgment, integrity, and discretion for handling sensitive issues.
  • •Understanding of key regulatory and audit requirements and the three lines of defense risk management framework.
