Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and support network architecture design and implementation.
  • •Develop and execute test plans to validate equipment functionality, interoperability, security, and performance.
  • •Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in customer labs/staging, including inventory assessment and initial commissioning.
  • •Turn up network services using best practices, including end-to-end circuit testing and network service provisioning.
  • •Provide customer guidance and operational training on Ciena Network Management Systems (enroll elements, configure backups, provision services, and escalate issues).

Key Requirements

  • •U.S. citizenship is required.
  • •Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred).
  • •10+ years of experience with low-speed network access interfaces and terminations (e.g., DS0/T1/E-1/DS-3/OCx).
  • •Strong hands-on expertise with SONET, DWDM, ROADM/nOADM, Ethernet architecture, and provisioning/implementation.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications/Networking (or equivalent technical experience).
