Job Summary

Assist with construction and excavation work on utility and road projects, including treatment plants and water, sewer, and storm drain systems. Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA/MSHA requirements, wearing PPE, and reporting unsafe conditions. Perform general labor duties such as digging, spreading, and leveling materials, help signal equipment operators, operate small power tools like jackhammers, and complete equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Support traffic control setup and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

•Work as part of a collaborative team, taking directions from management to achieve project goals.
•Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies, OSHA/MSHA standards, and using required tools and equipment.
•Assist with construction and excavation activities (e.g., shoveling, raking, wheelbarrow use, pipe laying) across utility and storm drain projects.
•Perform general labor duties such as digging, spreading, and leveling materials; lift and move tools and supplies as needed.
•Operate small power tools (e.g., jackhammers), help signal equipment operators, perform basic equipment maintenance, and complete pre-/post-operation inspections.

Key Requirements
