Key Responsibilities

•Prepare and scrub the theatre for orthopaedic/spinal procedures, ensuring all instruments are ready and sterile fields are maintained.
•Assist surgeons intra-operatively with instruments, drapes, and specimen handling while maintaining patient safety.
•Manage instrument counts, specimen labeling, and equipment troubleshooting to minimise intraoperative delays.
•Maintain high standards of asepsis, infection prevention, and theatre cleanliness throughout procedures.
•Collaborate with the theatre team, nurses, and support staff to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience as a theatre scrub practitioner, with exposure to orthopaedics and/or spinal surgery.
•Ability to maintain strict sterile technique and assist during complex operative procedures.
•Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and support staff.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment while prioritising patient safety.
•Evidence of up-to-date perioperative competencies and safety standards.
