Key Responsibilities

  • •The Senior Laboratory Technician is responsible for the day to day running of the lab and to act for the Laboratory Manager in their absence.
  • •Ensure the Lab maintains quality standards (ISO 17025. RLP criteria), whilst managing complex and urgent laboratory matters to support Laboratory Manager.
  • •Support with Lab Technician training and supervisory activities.
  • •Check equipment calibrations, sourcing alternative equipment, and ensuring the quality of laboratory results are of a high standard.
  • •Ensure laboratory equipment, reagents, media used in the daily performance of work has been calibrated and verified as required by the HW Laboratory manual

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualification e.g. Bachelor of Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or similar required.
  • •Strong & proven experience working in a laboratory setting within manufacturing is required.
  • •People leadership exposure is desired, but not mandatory.
  • •Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
  • •LIMs Database exposure is strongly desired.
