Job Summary

Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, throughput, cost, and sustainability. Execute and support capital projects up to $10M (or work on project teams) from concept through startup, including coordination with QC/QA, safety, health, environmental, and maintenance. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, develop engineering studies and justifications for approvals, monitor historical performance data, and implement safety/reliability/capacity improvements. Provide process training and keep documentation current.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute projects by meeting budget and schedule, supervising construction/startup, and coordinating with QC/QA, safety/health/environmental, and maintenance.
•Provide technical support to the plant safety professional to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses when designing or redesigning work processes.
•Troubleshoot processes, identify improvement opportunities, implement action plans, and drive follow-up to ensure results.
•Develop and submit engineering studies, designs, and justifications to support Operations’ goals.
•Evaluate, implement, and monitor improvements across safety, reliability, capacity, operating costs, maintenance, and product quality, and provide process training with up-to-date documentation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 84,400 - 112,533.33 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred) or equivalent technical experience.
•Process improvement experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
•Proven ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans with follow-up.
•Ability to implement capital projects/permits and perform engineering functions in a manufacturing environment.
•Knowledge and expertise of the corn wet milling process (preferred).
