Job Summary

Drive the development and manufacturing launch of datacenter hardware—server and rack systems—within AMD’s Datacenter Platform Engineering Group. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design, materials planning, manufacturing, and quality across the product development lifecycle. Lead DFM and technical/design reviews, manage NPI processes, oversee first article builds/inspections, and coordinate production support through engineering change orders to ensure timely, high-quality launches.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive development and manufacturing launch of datacenter hardware (server and rack systems) to meet design standards, quality targets, and production timelines.
•Partner with cross-functional teams to align design, materials planning, manufacturing, and quality efforts across the product development lifecycle.
•Lead DFM and technical design review activities to ensure designs comply with criteria, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities.
•Manage NPI processes by facilitating cross-functional problem-solving and proactively resolving design/production issues to support product launch and ramp-up.
•Oversee first article builds/inspections, coordinate production support and change management (including ECOs), and validate assembly instructions to support successful volume production.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience in product development engineering or a closely related hardware engineering role involving design and manufacturing processes for complex hardware products (datacenter, servers, or similar).
•Hands-on experience guiding products from concept through development and production.
•Ability to conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and optimize designs for efficient manufacturing.
•Experience managing Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes and implementing design updates in a production environment.
