Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate distributed backend systems for the recommendations pipeline and AI workflow execution engine.
  • •Own and harden infrastructure running the AI workflow platform on AWS and Kubernetes, improving reliability, observability, and scalability.
  • •Improve system resilience by implementing eventing/streaming, retries, backpressure, and recovery to prevent prolonged replay after outages.
  • •Reduce single points of failure and share operational and on-call ownership across critical infrastructure systems.
  • •Design service and API boundaries and write and optimize MongoDB data models and queries that power recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •Have a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • •Have 5+ years building and operating backend systems in production, ideally for scalable, multi-tenant SaaS.
  • •Have deep experience in distributed systems, including concurrency, asynchronous and eventually-consistent processing, queues/streaming, and designing for failure.
  • •Be strong in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, and comfortable modeling and querying data in MongoDB (or a comparable database).
  • •Have hands-on cloud and DevOps experience with AWS, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability (metrics, logging, tracing).
