Job Summary

Design, build, and evolve core banking products on modern cloud-native platforms as a Thought Machine (4th Generation) developer. Configure Vault-based product logic and ledger-posting rules, implement financial events and lifecycle states, and deliver integration services and APIs for payments, KYC, CRM, GL, fraud, and notifications. Support releases via CI/CD, write comprehensive tests, troubleshoot production issues, and partner with engineering, product, operations, security, and risk teams to deliver secure, scalable financial capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement core banking product logic (accounts, deposits, lending, fees, interest, limits, delinquency, posting rules) using Thought Machine’s framework (or equivalent rules/contract approach).
•Build and maintain ledger-posting logic that is accurate, auditable, idempotent, and aligned with accounting principles; configure product parameters and lifecycle states.
•Develop integration services and APIs for channels and downstream systems (payments, KYC, CRM, GL, data/analytics, fraud, notifications), including event-driven integrations with robust error handling and observability.
•Write unit, integration, and contract tests for financial logic, covering edge cases and reconciliation scenarios; support releases through CI/CD and controlled promotion (dev → test → prod).
•Troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis, improve runbooks, and maintain technical documentation (product specs, decision records, operational playbooks) while partnering with product, operations, security, and risk teams.

Key Requirements

•5+ years developing APIs/integration services in regulated enterprise environments, with banking/financial services experience preferred.
•Direct experience delivering core banking products on Thought Machine or a comparable modern core/ledger platform.
•Proven experience with Thought Machine Vault (product configuration, contract-style logic, lifecycle events).
•Strong understanding of double-entry accounting, ledgers, postings, balances, and reconciliation.
•Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python, Java, Kotlin, Go (or similar), plus experience building REST/gRPC APIs and event-driven architectures (Kafka or equivalent).
