Job Summary

Lead civil/structural engineering and design on large or complex projects, providing overall technical direction and coordination for assigned work. Own compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements, and manage budgets, schedules, and manpower estimates. Review and approve project schedules and deliverables, coordinate with specialists and construction personnel, conduct inspections, and advise the Chief Civil Engineer on technical issues, slippages, and potential contract changes.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide administration, overall technical direction, and coordination for civil/structural engineering and design work on assigned projects.
•Assess technical and human resources for assigned projects and ensure work aligns with agreed manpower, cost, and time budgets.
•Review and approve project schedules and ensure dates, progress rates, and design periods are realistic.
•Prepare manpower estimates and support proposals, contract changes, and technical evaluations for civil/structural enquiries.
•Assign and coordinate Civil Engineers, review calculations and deliverables, attend progress meetings, advise on schedule slippages/technical problems, and provide guidance and training to junior/trainee engineers.

Key Requirements

•BSc (Civil Engineering) or BEng (Civil).
•Professional registration: Pr. Eng / Pr Tech Eng / Chartered Eng.
•12+ years of relevant experience.
•Broad knowledge of civil engineering fields relevant to the project environment.
•Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
