Job Summary

Provide hands-on facilities and maintenance support to keep plant, equipment, and site infrastructure operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll perform fitting, repair, and maintenance, coordinate contractors, manage permit-to-work including confined space entry and LOTO, and conduct equipment inspections and NZS 3760 electrical testing. Based in Christchurch, you’ll also maintain a safe, well-kept work environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform general fitting, repair, and maintenance activities.
•Coordinate and oversee contractors working on site.
•Maintain equipment, plant, buildings, and associated infrastructure.
•Support site housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment.
•Manage permit-to-work activities, including confined space entry and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes, and carry out equipment inspections and NZS 3760 electrical testing.

Key Requirements

•Hold a NZ Level 4 National Certificate in Mechanical and be capable of a broad range of maintenance tasks.
•Relevant work experience in facilities, plant, and equipment maintenance.
•Practical experience in maintenance, electrical testing, permit-to-work systems, and working at heights.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Be self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
