Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and continuously improve governance frameworks, executive reporting, and accountability mechanisms across the division.
  • •Provide trusted strategic governance advice to GM Consumer Risk & Compliance and the Consumer Leadership Team, influencing decisions on strategic risks and emerging issues.
  • •Lead and improve governance forums to ensure effective oversight, decision-making practices, and risk governance committee requirements.
  • •Produce concise executive, Board, and regulatory reporting focused on trends, emerging risks, implications, and recommended actions.
  • •Drive risk culture, maturity, and accountability initiatives, including leadership of Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) requirements and regulatory obligations.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in risk management, governance, compliance, or assurance in regulated industries, preferably insurance or financial services.
  • •Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and obligations, including FAR, CPS 230, conduct risk principles, and broader risk management frameworks.
  • •Proven ability to develop executive and Board-level reporting with exceptional presentation and narrative/briefing material skills.
  • •Demonstrated experience driving organisational change in complex, matrixed corporate environments and influencing strategic outcomes.
  • •Experience leading high-performing teams and influencing risk behaviours across an organisation.
