Key Responsibilities

  • •Own, prioritise, and continuously refine the product backlog; keep it visible and understood by the team.
  • •Translate business strategy into a product roadmap and clearly communicate the rationale behind priorities.
  • •Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria, keeping specifications lean and focused.
  • •Collaborate with the development team day to day (sprint planning, refinement, reviews) and make decisions quickly.
  • •Engage end users and business stakeholders to surface needs, validate ideas, and align strategic priorities.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in agile development teams, ideally in fintech or financial services.
  • •Prioritise using data and value-based frameworks (e.g., RICE, MoSCoW, cost of delay), and define/track product metrics and KPIs.
  • •Recognise feature interdependencies and translate them into concrete, achievable user stories.
  • •Familiarity with user experience principles and technical architecture to sketch concepts and assess implementation approaches.
  • •Hands-on backlog management experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence (or equivalents).
