Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of incoming mechanical parts, electronic assemblies, wire harnesses, and custom fabrications per engineering drawings and AS9102 guidelines.
  • •Use metrology equipment and tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, optical comparators, FaroArms) to verify part dimensions.
  • •Review supplier documentation (Certificates of Conformance, material test reports, plating/coating certs, and test data) for compliance.
  • •Document and segregate non-conforming materials, initiate NCRs, and assist Supplier Quality Engineers with root cause and corrective action investigations.
  • •Record inspection results in ERP and PLM systems and identify opportunities to streamline receiving inspection and improve inspection tooling/methods.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of quality control inspection experience in aerospace, defense, space, or automotive manufacturing.
  • •Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR/EAR compliance.
  • •Proficient reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints, with strong GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.
  • •Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) reports in accordance with AS9102.
  • •Hands-on mechanical measurement tool experience (e.g., micrometers, thread gauges, bore gauges).
