Job Summary

Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and components at Tyndall AFB as part of a U.S. Air Force contractor logistics support team. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and engine/airframe repairs using technical manuals and specialized tools, including work on flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and electrical wiring. Apply FAA Airframe & Powerplant expertise, test engine operation, and keep aircraft logs and records up to schedule.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components, including moderate-difficulty work.
•Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness.
•Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals.
•Inspect turbine blades, test engine operation, and replace or repair worn/damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
•Read maintenance manuals/service bulletins, adjust/repair electrical wiring systems, and make entries in aircraft logs and records as required.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•2 years’ experience maintaining turbo prop aircraft.
•Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate with no enforcement actions.
•Knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, replacement of parts, and technical publications.
•Physical capability to work in tight spaces/heights/on wings and lift up to 50 lbs.
