Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, selling, delivering, and providing ongoing service for retail banking and fee income products appropriate to the segment.
  • •Establish and update understanding of clients’ financial needs through profiling and personal financial planning analysis, and coordinate with investment account financial advisors on asset allocation and investment objectives.
  • •Stay current on economic, legal, financial planning, investment trends, and market/business issues impacting clients; act as a personal financial planning/advisory resource for clients, their attorneys, and CPAs.
  • •Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by developing new clients, expanding services, marketing new products, following sales management processes, and maintaining sales activity/pipeline in the contact management system.
  • •Coordinate with Truist product and service specialists (Integrated Relationship Management partners) to deliver an integrated, compliant client service experience and serve as an advocate for clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience and training.
  • •Minimum five years of financial services experience working with clients involving banking, investments, and/or retail lending (or one year in a financial client relationship manager role).
  • •Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning/advisory, insurance, investment management/asset allocation, and retail credit and traditional retail bank products for mass affluent clients.
  • •Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) plus FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65 in lieu of 66), and applicable Insurance licenses (Life, Health, and Variable) active/maintained or obtained within 100–150 days; must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days and meet NMLS background check requirements.
  • •Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship management skills, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
