Job Summary

Support electrical substation design work under direct supervision for the Power and Energy Substation Team. Use CADD to create precise drawings and assist with basic design details, including geometric dimensioning/tolerancing and quantity calculations. Help verify calculations, interpret contract plans and specifications, and support design changes and reviews by engineers while ensuring designs meet client and industry standards. Complete assigned training and collaborate cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

•Use CADD tools under supervision to assist with basic substation design details and prepare precise drawings.
•Provide entry-level design assistance using geometric dimensioning, tolerance, and quantity calculations while meeting design standards.
•Assist with verifying calculations, design and change orders, interpreting contract plans/specifications, and escalating technical issues.
•Prepare multiple versions of substation designs for engineer review and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
•Adhere to client/industry standards, complete assigned training, and support responsible/ethical decision-making and workplace safety.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma.
•0-2 years’ experience.
•Familiarity with drafting and design support principles, practices, and techniques, including relevant codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping.
•Familiarity with computer-aided drafting software such as AutoCAD.
•Authorization to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa sponsorship now or in the future.
