Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on LV power distribution systems and assets with minimal disruption to operations.
  • •Conform to all general and technical safety requirements to ensure health, safety, and welfare of self and others.
  • •Read, interpret, and describe electrical drawings including circuit/wiring diagrams and schematic/layout drawings.
  • •Perform ring main unit functional tests, fuse replacement, and inspection/maintenance of internal components; perform MV transformer functional tests and inspection/maintenance.
  • •Conduct intrusive and non-intrusive maintenance on LV/MV switchgears, earth testing programs, and thermal image surveys; support asset maintenance activities such as inspections and condition-based maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Certificate or Industrial Training Institute Diploma (3-year) in Electrical Maintenance (or equivalent post high school).
  • •IOSH Working Safely Certificate (or equivalent).
  • •Minimum 3 years of experience within a Structured Cabling environment or similar.
  • •Ability to read, interpret, and describe the functionality of electrical drawings (circuit/wiring and schematic/layout drawings).
  • •Ability to perform safely and correctly MV & LV equipment tasks including isolations and LOTO, preventive maintenance routines, corrective maintenance, and breakdown maintenance.
