Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from substation sites, surveys, and technical drawings/specifications to support drafting and design activities.
  • •Under minimal supervision, work with engineers to resolve design details or discrepancies and prepare precise drawings for basic-scope projects.
  • •Provide routine technical design assistance to ensure proper illustration, fit, form, and function using geometric dimensioning, tolerance, and quantity calculations.
  • •Verify calculations, design changes, and interpretation of contract plans/specifications; recognize and escalate errors, differences, or technical problems for resolution.
  • •Work cross-functionally with electrical, structural, and civil disciplines to execute project work; ensure designs meet utility standards, jurisdiction requirements, and applicable regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-education experience in design support, preferably on electrical utility or substation projects.

  • •Highly familiar with relevant codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
