Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide cost management leadership for construction projects from initiation to completion, covering strategic planning, stakeholder management, and execution.
  • •Take line management responsibility for developing cost managers and team members through guidance, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • •Act as the key day-to-day client interface, leading multidisciplinary project teams and ensuring objectives are met through value-added cost management.
  • •Develop cost benchmarks, establish cost reporting structures and controls, and oversee estimating, cost planning, value engineering, and life-cycle costing.
  • •Monitor budgets and financial performance, manage variations, lead commercial negotiations and contract administration, and oversee invoicing using D-365.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • •Minimum 10 years’ experience in cost management or construction projects (cost manager, construction manager, procurement, project manager, vendor, consultant, etc.).
  • •Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in people management.
  • •Strong business acumen to drive client outcomes, develop new business, and coordinate with construction and design teams to meet deadlines.
  • •Native-level Japanese proficiency and business-level English proficiency.
