Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the Head Sommelier in all aspects of wine service, preparing and delivering wine to guests according to fine dining standards.
  • •Develop international wine knowledge, particularly French wines, through on-the-job training and formal certifications such as WSET Level 1.
  • •Maintain appropriate glassware standards, ensuring cleanliness and presentation for service.
  • •Handle and maintain wine service tools (decanters, corkscrews, bottle openers) to keep them ready for service.
  • •Collaborate with sommeliers to deliver a seamless guest wine experience, including recommending wine pairings and supporting wine inventory recordkeeping.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 years working experience, with 2 years relevant experience and 1 year GCC experience as a plus.
  • •Foundational understanding of wines, particularly French wines, and commitment to further wine education such as WSET Level 1.
  • •Familiarity with fine wine service techniques and tools including decanting and proper glassware usage.
  • •Ability to identify opportunities to recommend and upsell wines to enhance guest experience while contributing to revenue goals.
  • •ERP knowledge with preferred SAP functional skills.
