Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate equipment safely and efficiently and assist highway/utility/grade crews with manual construction tasks.
  • •Locate buried utilities and prepare trenches by digging and shoveling earth/dirt.
  • •Guide pipes into place, attach trench boxes and pipes with chains/guide wires, and perform cutting and connecting work using tools and lubricants.
  • •Set up laser level/tripod and pipe lasers for alignment, maintain equipment, and perform minor servicing/maintenance or escalate major issues.
  • •Maintain jobsite safety by fencing off areas with barricades and safety cones, complete cleanup, keep time/material records, and travel to/from various locations.
