Job Summary

Perform scientific air pollution source emission measurements using standard EPA techniques in Raleigh, NC. This hybrid role includes fieldwork and telework, conducting assessments and plan reviews, writing technical reports, and analyzing data for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You’ll manage field/office tasks, calibrate and maintain test equipment, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with scientists, engineers, clients, and site teams to support project delivery and growth.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage field and office tasks on source emission testing projects to meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
•Use scientific principles and EPA environmental testing methods to collect data, solve problems, and provide client advice within scientific scope.
•Record and interpret data, perform analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and regulations to ensure compliance.
•Calibrate, repair, maintain, and select/prepare test equipment for field deployment.
•Mentor junior and mid-level staff and supervise field staff as required.

Key Requirements

•BA/BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related field with 6+ years of related experience (or equivalent).
•Experience with air measurements and source testing.
•Ability to climb ladders, work at heights outdoors year-round, and lift/carry equipment up to 75 lbs.
•Obtain medical clearance for DOT driving and wearing a respirator (as a condition of ongoing employment).
•Valid U.S. Driver’s License and successful completion of AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.
