Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and manage BHFS legal affairs across regulated entities and business interests in multiple jurisdictions.
  • •Lead the BHFS legal program and act as legal point of contact for Brand legal teams to ensure Brand considerations are included in the BHFS rollout.
  • •Provide BHFS Management Team leadership with accurate updates on legal developments in payments and align them with BHFS product ambitions.
  • •Undertake ongoing liaison with law firms and stakeholders to maintain awareness and interpretation of current legal matters and affairs.
  • •Monitor BHFS legal affairs strategy globally, evaluate regulatory impacts on complex flows, and advise on the legal and regulatory horizon.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 12 years PQE.
  • •Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into practical, actionable advice.
  • •Experience managing and growing teams, including payments regulatory experience and engagement with regulatory bodies.
  • •Deep understanding of regulatory regimes and how payments firms/products interact with them, including international money transfer and e-commerce/online platform frameworks.
  • •Experience with regulatory implementation projects (interpretation and working with associations to influence legislation) and liaising with local counsel globally.
