Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely and efficiently deliver equipment, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and observe all safety regulations.
  • •Load and unload trailers, follow loading crew signals, and assist with using specialized equipment as needed.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork, and deliver documentation when routes are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., check oil/water/fuel/air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to speak professionally and courteously at delivery points.
