Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead core month-end close and reporting, including balance sheet schedules, prepaid/fixed assets, and related journal entries.
  • •Perform variance analysis and maintain the monthly financial reporting package (KPIs, headcount, P&L).
  • •Run AP and vendor workflows: process bills for correct coding, resolve disputes, manage overdue invoices, and handle vendor onboarding/tax documents.
  • •Own payroll accounting for US, Canada, and international teams, preparing and reconciling payroll journals each pay run.
  • •Identify and improve manual, error-prone processes and support internal/external audits with clean documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close tasks.
  • •Solid US GAAP knowledge, including hands-on account reconciliations and accruals.
  • •Experience with modern accounting systems (Rillet, NetSuite, QuickBooks or similar) and expense/AP tools (Ramp, Bill.com or similar).
  • •Comfort with payroll accounting concepts including gross-to-net, benefits accruals, and retirement plan contributions.
  • •Strong Excel/Sheets skills and communication to explain financial concepts in plain language.
