Job Summary

Drive PhonePe’s data privacy program by assisting with policy and procedure development, DPDPA implementation, and cross-functional privacy advisory. You’ll monitor evolving privacy regulations, conduct DPIAs and risk assessments, and strengthen consent management. Partner with product and business teams to evaluate personal data usage, review vendor contract privacy clauses, support privacy incident handling, and manage data principal requests while maintaining privacy controls, training, and personal data inventory.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in developing and implementing privacy program components, including drafting and refining policies, procedures, and templates, and support DPDPA implementation efforts.
•Collaborate with business and product teams to understand personal data usage and act as the key privacy advisor and point of contact for privacy-related decisions.
•Research and monitor evolving privacy laws, regulations, and industry practices, analyze their business impact, and conduct DPIAs and privacy risk assessments.
•Enhance consent management frameworks to meet legal and regulatory requirements and review privacy clauses in vendor contracts; support third-party risk management for privacy risk mitigation.
•Support privacy operations including incident investigation and reporting/resolution, handling data principal requests, continuous monitoring/testing of privacy controls, data discovery/personal data inventory, and mandatory privacy training delivery.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Law, Information Security, Privacy, or related fields.
•2-5 years of overall experience working in the Privacy domain.
•In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and frameworks including GDPR and India’s DPDPA, plus CCPA, the Information Technology Act, and regulator regulations.
•Strong documentation and communication skills, including assessments and policy/procedure documentation; advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications.
•Ability to interface with stakeholders and build relationships, with a strong bias for action and problem-solving skills.
