Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead mechanical design and influence mechanical architecture for AMD’s server and GPU products used in leading-edge data centers.
  • •Collaborate with a global team to define, design, and integrate mechanical systems for server/compute products.
  • •Lead mechanical development efforts across server design, rack-level integration, and cooling solutions.
  • •Champion DFM/DFR principles for high-volume production, and participate in design reviews with actionable feedback.
  • •Perform mechanical modeling in Creo (tolerance analysis and system-level design) and contribute to post-silicon work through test planning, characterization, data analysis, and customer system support.

Key Requirements

  • •BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • •Seasoned proficiency in electromechanical product design, integration, and validation for high-performance computing hardware.
  • •Strong CAD skills, with proficiency in Creo (and experience with SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • •Advanced mechanical modeling skills including statistical analysis, structural and tolerance analysis, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • •Ability to champion Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Reliability (DFR), and provide strong design tradeoff judgment in fast-paced cross-team environments.
