Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at military installations.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials and respond to age-appropriate class/seminar requests.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision and training/quality improvement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may substitute an associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract.
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
  • •Hold one of the certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.
