Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards using company hauler.
  • •Maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including hands-on freight handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck, keeping equipment clean, well-maintained, and operationally ready.
  • •Deliver vehicles accurately and on time to support inventory flow, representing CarMax professionally with vendors, store associates, and the public.

Key Requirements

  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state.
  • •2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (military heavy/medium tactical vehicle experience considered).
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years (meet CarMax Driver Safety Evaluation criteria).
  • •Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and climb/bend/kneel to secure vehicles on multi-level transport decks while working outdoors in all weather conditions.
