Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle in compliance with applicable state and federal transportation laws and traffic/safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and in a timely manner along required routes, obeying all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, follow loading crew signals, and assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain and deliver required shipping documentation (signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other paperwork).
  • •Perform routine service checks on trucks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, speaking professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Physically able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, remain seated for prolonged periods, and travel frequently.
