Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver comprehensive, professional, and ethical neonatology clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.
  • •Perform professional neonatologist duties: assess/reassess patients, conduct daily rounds, perform examinations/procedures, order labs and radiology, determine diagnosis, prescribe medications, and advise nursing/dietary care.
  • •Provide in-patient care to newborns and attend difficult deliveries or cesarean section deliveries; offer consultation/referral services across care pathways.
  • •Provide on-call emergency coverage for neonatal emergencies as per duty roster.
  • •Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management, maintain accurate medical records, participate in committees and continuous professional development, and follow OSH and infection prevention requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country).
  • •At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
  • •Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Certification and registration in a speciality recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
