Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the day-to-day strategic and delivery adviser to the Minister and MoCDTI on implementing Ghana’s National AI Strategy.
  • •Lead mobilisation and day-to-day programme coordination, including inception reporting, detailed workplans, and maintaining milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and escalation routes.
  • •Coordinate development of implementation roadmaps, annual delivery plans, and performance frameworks (owners, KPIs, dashboards, and quarterly reporting).
  • •Coordinate whole-of-government implementation across MDAs and the AI focal-point network to align activity and resolve blockers.
  • •Support governance and exemplar delivery, including operationalising an AI Council/Responsible AI Office and developing toolkits, guidance, and ministerial decision materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Substantial senior-level experience in public-sector advisory, government delivery, digital transformation, institutional reform, management consulting, or international development.
  • •Demonstrated track record advising ministers and translating policy priorities into clear decisions, plans, and accountable delivery actions.
  • •Experience leading or coordinating complex multi-stakeholder government programmes from strategy through implementation using workplans, milestones, KPIs, dashboards, and structured risk/issue reporting.
  • •Strong working knowledge of artificial intelligence and digital government, including public-sector use cases, responsible AI governance, and implementation/procurement risks.
  • •An advanced degree in public policy, public administration, economics, international development, technology, engineering, computer science, business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), plus excellent written and spoken English.
