Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise the Directional Drilling (DD) process and project the well path to predetermined target coordinates.
  • •Assist with BHA selection and ensure BHA assembly is completed as planned, including correct make-up torque, doping, and handling.
  • •Use DD computer software to provide advice and analysis, including survey calculations and well path projections.
  • •Update well profile plots and provide the client representative with accurate directional survey data.
  • •Maintain well-site records and equipment disposition, and complete daily DD reports, BHA performance reports, service tickets, and relevant paperwork.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of a high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • •Minimum three years of field experience in Directional Drilling, L/MWD, or SDL, with at least six months in directional drilling.
  • •Assist in BHA selection and ensure BHA assembly is completed as planned (including correct make-up torque, doping, and handling).
  • •Ability to read and interpret designed well plans, directional survey information, and other well site data.
  • •Must possess relevant rig safety certificates.
