Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to and convey a Life Enrichment philosophy supporting residents’ dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality.
  • •Lead and/or oversee individual and group programs daily, encouraging and tracking resident participation.
  • •Design creative, engaging programs based on residents’ needs and interests and plan a monthly calendar of activities.
  • •Develop and distribute monthly life enrichment schedules and post them for residents’ reference.
  • •Ensure programs meet state, federal, and other regulations, manage supplies, and oversee life enrichment budget costs.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • •Rec Therapist, COTA, education, or experience in teaching or nursing is preferred.
  • •NCCAP certification (National Certification Council for Activity Professionals) is preferred.
  • •Excellent English communication (oral and written), plus organizational and time management skills.
  • •Minimum one year working with a senior population preferred; flexible hours required (weekends, holidays, and evenings).
