Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide strategic legal advice on consumer protection risks throughout the customer lifecycle, from acquisition to account management.
  • •Analyze and mitigate UDAAP risks and provide actionable guidance to Compliance and Legal partners.
  • •Advise on digital initiatives including electronic disclosures, digital signature platforms, and website/app terms and conditions.
  • •Lead the development and update of Legal UDAAP and Consent frameworks to drive enterprise-level standards.
  • •Identify, mitigate, resolve, and escalate existing and emerging legal issues and risks, including supporting product and service rollouts affecting customers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 182,500 - 229,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • •Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
  • •At least 4 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.
  • •2+ years of counsel or compliance experience with consumer finance laws, regulations, and disclosures, especially marketing and UDAAP/UDAP.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state consumer protection laws and regulations affecting the financial services industry.
