Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee identity and access governance, including privileged-access reviews and access/credential management as the business grows.
  • •Run the supplier security review programme and maintain compliance evidence required by certifications and enterprise customers.
  • •Manage vulnerability and patch assurance, ensuring findings are prioritised and driven through to resolution.
  • •Drive compliance operations to maintain and evidence ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and Cyber Essentials Plus, staying ahead of regulatory change.
  • •Support secure-by-design by reviewing new features and changes (including AI functionality) for security and data-protection impact before release.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience running ISO 27001 ISMS operations and PCI DSS compliance, ideally in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • •Relevant security/compliance qualifications, ideally ISO 27001 Lead Implementer (Lead Auditor is a bonus), plus credentials such as CRISC or CompTIA Security+ (mid level) and PCIP for PCI-specific work.
  • •Familiarity with Cyber Essentials Plus, access recertification, supplier security reviews, and evidence collection.
  • •A self-starter who works autonomously, closes actions to completion, and turns ad hoc controls into scheduled, evidenced processes.
  • •Clear communicator who can work with engineers, HR, and an external virtual CISO.
