Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing community engagement campaigns, station initiatives, and special events throughout the Bay Area.
  • •Collaborate with News, Marketing, Sales, Creative Services, and other station departments to develop partnerships and execute strategic initiatives.
  • •Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, sponsors, and community partners.
  • •Draft community communications such as community calendar listings, PSAs, press materials, media advisories, press releases, and other promotional content.
  • •Capture photography and video (including b-roll) at community events and support project management tasks like timelines, invoices, and day-to-day operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire internship (recent graduates not eligible).
  • •Current class standing of Junior or above.
  • •Must be presently authorized to work in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship now or in the future to retain authorization.
  • •Available to work 20 hours per week during the internship and willing to work in San Jose, CA.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail; highly organized and able to manage multiple projects.
