Job Summary

Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems at customer sites. Plan and complete assigned projects, interpret construction drawings, and use hand tools to mount and fit equipment. Perform site surveys, replacements, modifications, and direct digital control system updates, while documenting work, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety. Provide training and technical support, act as the primary customer contact, and contribute sales leads to the right teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up HVAC systems at customer sites using HVAC theory, pipe fitting, air distribution, controls, and mechanical layouts.
•Plan and complete assigned projects and activities, including preparing for installation by reviewing building layout, anticipating difficulties, and coordinating on-site work.
•Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to mount, hang, fit, and install equipment and systems using hand tools.
•Perform site surveys, replacements, modifications, and start-ups, providing technical support and training at the customer site.
•Maintain inventory and company equipment, keep service and cost records, complete job paperwork, enforce safety standards, and provide customer-facing service and satisfaction.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) and typically 2–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation; technical school/formal training preferred.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Preferred state contractor licenses (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).
•Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent violations (including DUI, Hit & Run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving).
•Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.
