Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate vendor competencies against QuEra R&D specifications and capacity; request and normalize quotations for like-for-like comparison.
  • •Develop and maintain RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and maintain a qualified supplier list by category, tracking delivery and quality performance.
  • •Act as the intermediary between the Optics and Laser Systems team and G&A for high-dollar procurements, ensuring technical/admin details are complete before contracts and POs.
  • •Own vendor RMAs, warranty claims, and disputes; systematize processes to reduce repeat issues and maintain warranty records.
  • •Coordinate acceptance activities (factory acceptance, witness testing, pre-shipment documentation, incoming quality inspection) and support customs/export compliance and packaging projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in a science or engineering field, or equivalent hands-on technical training in technical sales, optical engineering, or optics quality management.
  • •2+ years working hands-on with lasers or optical systems in a lab, field service, applications engineering, or technical sales role.
  • •2+ years in supplier-facing commercial work in a hardware environment.
  • •Ability to read technical specifications and hold suppliers accountable to them.
  • •Experience with ERP or QMS systems and rigorous documentation practices (purchase records, serial numbers, configuration states).
