Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake electrical design for LV distribution systems, feeder pillars/cabinet design, cable sizing/routing/protection, and earthing & bonding.
  • •Perform electrical load assessments and supply coordination, and deliver electrical design outputs aligned to relevant UK standards and project requirements (e.g., BS 7671).
  • •Support planning and design of EV charging infrastructure, including charging requirements assessment, spare capacity feasibility checks, and selecting charging technologies/configurations.
  • •Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (lighting designers, civil engineers, ITS specialists) and CAD technicians to ensure integrated, compliant drawings and timely delivery.
  • •Support junior engineers/technicians and embed health & safety (including CDM requirements) and sustainability objectives (energy efficiency and carbon reduction) into design activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical).
  • •Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical design for infrastructure projects.
  • •Hands-on experience with Electrical OM, Amtech, or similar electrical design software.
  • •Experience with ACC, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.
  • •Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and ability to plan workload, allocate tasks, and estimate time.
