Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft in a continuing airworthiness and maintenance governance framework.
  • •Ensure personnel follow correct safety practices and observe safety precautions in line with the Salam Support Safety Case Report.
  • •Perform FOD control measures as directed by management and comply with Safety Management Systems and Maintenance Error Management Systems.
  • •Provide aircraft handling and flight line activities when required.
  • •Train Squadron (AGF) engineering personnel and aircrew on Typhoon ground handling, fuelling, and flight servicing, including additional training for those who fail required standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) or have relevant experience with formal, recorded workplace applied training.
  • •Demonstrable experience supervising training activities on a busy, military operational flying unit.
  • •Completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship in industry/military or a similar qualification in aircraft systems.
  • •Must have previous ESS experience with a formal ‘Q’ annotation.
  • •Substantial post-qualification experience in military fast-jet maintenance support at supervisor level in an operational military flying environment.
