Job Summary

Build and deliver Okta Privileged Access Management (PAM) products using a zero-trust, identity-centric approach. You’ll develop secure, enterprise-grade features end to end with modern JavaScript and cloud-native backend technologies, design scalable multi-tenant systems, and lead technical initiatives through design reviews, testing, and performance troubleshooting. You’ll also leverage AI pair-programmers/LLMs to accelerate development and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Leverage AI pair-programmers and LLMs (e.g., Copilot and Claude) to accelerate development of secure, enterprise-grade PAM products.
•Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features across modern JavaScript UIs and cloud-native backend services.
•Lead technical design for key initiatives, ensuring quality, scalability, redundancy, and multi-tenancy.
•Conduct design and code reviews, and write comprehensive unit and functional tests to uphold high engineering standards.
•Monitor, troubleshoot, and fix owned services and frameworks; evaluate system performance and resolve bottlenecks while mentoring junior developers.

Key Requirements

•9+ years of programming experience in Go, Java, or C++ with a focus on backend services.
•Strong knowledge of frontend JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
•4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases, including performance-aware design and querying.
•Experience building REST-based services and understanding REST fundamentals.
•Experience with cloud security product development and technologies such as AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kinesis, Kafka, and Docker.
