Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using an approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet models, and joint design development via statements of work.
  • •Drive development and consolidation of manufacturing BOMs with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers, with flexibility.
  • •Own NPI component procurement to ensure on-time, correct scaling; manage CAPEX throughout NPI; conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility.
  • •Complete BOM risk assessments (including alternate sourcing), ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production, and lead cost engineering to converge bottoms-up cost toward product cost and maximize TCO.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 111,000 - 147,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience, ideally with design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices and advanced sourcing activities such as commodity/sourcing management.
  • •Experience with supplier development (technology, process, supply chain) and early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirement realization.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Experience developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment, with some exposure to a start-up environment.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related technical degree) preferred; advanced degree or MBA strongly preferred; U.S. Person status required to access export-controlled data.
