Key Requirements

  • •B.S. in polymer engineering, textile engineering, material science, or a related field.
  • •8+ years’ experience supporting coverstock materials across vehicle systems, including leading material selection and shaping material/design/process/tooling strategy.
  • •Experience working in an automotive development environment through concept-to-launch product development.
  • •Strong knowledge of coverstock materials, including coated rolled goods (PUR, PVC, TPO), woven textiles, and non-wovens (needle felts).
  • •Hands-on experience with secondary processes (e.g., lamination, wrapping, glueing/welding, back-injection) and selecting material characterization standards for test program development.
