Own Raya Trade’s merchandising strategy for Nigeria by negotiating vendor and supplier agreements and building an annual merchandising plan that optimizes product mix and gross profit. Lead cross-functional execution across supply chain, product sourcing, vendor management, and quality risk. Partner with business unit heads and marketing to align alternative merchandising strategies with revenue plans, ensure the right products are allocated on the Raya platform, and drive weekly demand forecasting and stock turnover.

Key Responsibilities

•Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure best agreements for Raya products on price, availability, and profitability.
•Develop and implement the annual merchandising plan and product mix strategy to maximize gross profit.
•Lead merchandising and vendor/supply-chain execution, including risk management across quality, cost, delivery, and supply.
•Partner with business unit heads to develop and execute alternative merchandising strategies aligned to the company revenue plan.
•Manage weekly product demand forecasting per channel and oversee monthly stock turnover efficiency while coordinating with marketing on calendars.

Key Requirements

•10–12 years of retail industry experience, with 4 years in the field of merchandising.
•University graduate (any discipline).
•Strong analytical skills to evaluate product pricing impact on sales and warehouse operations.
•Ability to solve supplier or product availability issues.
•Awareness of market product pricing updates, offers, and their effects by branch and channel.
