Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete on-site, hands-on training across the distribution center areas including Operations, Management, and Purchasing.
  • •Observe experienced employees to learn methods, procedures, and performance standards for success in a sales center operations environment.
  • •Shadow contractors/builders, service/maintenance, and retail store customers to understand aspects of the swimming pool, irrigation, and landscaping business.
  • •Participate in classroom training sessions at EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems.
  • •Deliver a comprehensive presentation to senior management at the end of the 6-month program; perform additional special projects as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations, or a related discipline with a minimum of 2.5 GPA.
  • •Work experience in a leadership and/or problem-solving role; internships or leadership in distribution/supply chain contexts may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • •Ability and desire to work in a distribution warehouse environment.
  • •Strong leadership skills with a results-driven, self-starter mindset to manage rapidly changing priorities.
  • •Willingness and ability to relocate during and after the program and to travel up to 25% of the time.
