Job Summary

Lead the Advanced Sensors Thermal Analysis Section in the Mechanical Analysis and Test department, overseeing staffing, development, and program support. Provide technical and project leadership for thermal analysis across multiple programs, mentor staff, manage budgeting and forecasting, and support proposal efforts with accurate BOEs and estimates. This onsite McKinney, TX role requires DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the Section with technical oversight of thermal analysis for assigned programs and provide guidance to staff on design and analysis best practices.
•Manage staffing, development, training, performance appraisals, and promotions within the section; forecast labor requirements and ensure qualified staff support programs.
•Provide technical/functional oversight of conceptual and detailed electronics hardware and mechanical designs related to thermal analyses.
•Assist with proposal activities, including estimating scope of new engineering projects and preparing BOEs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 107,500 - 204,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience; Master’s/PhD substituting years as described
•Experience in thermal analysis with tools such as ANSYS, STAR-CCM+, FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA or equivalent
•Experience applying mechanical principles to solve thermal analysis problems and ability to manage multiple priorities
•Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required
•Ability to work on-site in a closed and secured space
