Key Responsibilities

  • •Select pipe and related materials and equipment according to specifications.
  • •Plan layouts and assemble components using geometry and metalworking/welding knowledge.
  • •Perform welding and fitting of piping/tube and structural shapes in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • •Set welding parameters (amperage, voltage, slope, pulse) and prepare electrodes/consumables for welding.
  • •Ensure welds meet NDE requirements and support multi-process welding certification (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to weld pipe/tube and structural components using arc welding techniques and specified welding processes.
  • •Experience selecting and sizing pipe or related materials and equipment based on specifications.
  • •Ability to lay out, position, align, and fit components together in different physical orientations.
  • •Capable of certifying on multi-process pipe and performing SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding processes.
  • •Ability to produce welds that meet NDE (non-destructive examination) requirements.
