Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with the Lead Data Engineer to build and maintain the MAP and coordinate metadata enhancement/remediation.
  • •Assess metadata quality and monitor MAP accuracy by querying native data holdings and using the system UI and API, Postgres, and Elasticsearch.
  • •Create design documents for new data stores (metadata fields, service specs, volumetrics, and standards) to integrate into the Search and Discovery System.
  • •Partner with government data stewards and data store owners to stay current on attribute changes and inform end-user satisfaction.
  • •Investigate and respond to tickets/issues related to metadata discrepancies or mapping.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 5 years of experience with data management, transformation, visualization, analysis, metadata standards, and organization techniques/tools.
  • •At least 5 years of experience with search tools and search results organization, including implications for metadata organization, indexing, and cataloging.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering (or related technical/scientific STEM fields) or an additional 4 years of related data/systems engineering experience.
  • •MS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • •Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly (and ability to obtain Top Secret SCI + Polygraph).

Education:Master's in systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program
